Everything Pagey stores, including your recent-files list, bookmarks, last-read page and scroll position, folders you've added, and reading preferences (dark/sepia mode, brightness/warmth, keep-awake, text-to-speech speed), is saved only in the app's local storage on your device. None of it is uploaded, synced, or sent to Pagey, Orcantra, or any third party. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Pagey does not request broad "access all files on this device" permission. Opening a document goes through Android's Storage Access Framework or the system file/folder picker; you choose a specific file or folder, and Pagey only gets access to that selection.
When you use read-aloud, Pagey extracts the text from your document and passes it to Android's built-in, on-device text-to-speech engine. That text is processed on your device and is not transmitted to Pagey or anyone else.
Pagey does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or all-files/storage-management permissions. It doesn't request internet access either.
Pagey does not require creating an account or signing in. This version does not include any advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Pagey does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children, consistent with the no-data-collection design described above.
If a future version adds an optional feature that involves data leaving your device (for example, connecting your own Google Drive, or an optional cross-device sync), that feature will be opt-in and clearly presented before it's turned on, and this policy will be updated first, with a new "Last updated" date above.
Since all data stays on your device, uninstalling Pagey deletes it. There is no account or server-side copy to separately request deletion of.
